Cahir Developments Association
The organisation was first formed in 1991 to combat the perceived negative effects of the new Dublin/Cork bypass. The Association, identified various community and social needs of the town that were not being met at that time and have endeavored to address those needs in a variety of different community Projects – such as Cahir Enterprise Centre,
Cahir Training Centre, Duneske Leisure Centre, Cahir Childcare Centre, Cahir Lotto, Cahir Tidy Towns, Christmas Lights project, Cahir Sensory Garden, Cahir Playground and a variety of Environmental initiatives – all aimed at making Cahir a better place to live, visit and work in.

What We Do

We work continuously
to improve the town of Cahir

Community Hall

Cahir Community Hall is available for hire some mornings, afternoons and evenings.
The hire cost is €15 per hour

Tidy Towns

The huge efforts of the Cahir Tidy Towns group over many years is beginning
to reap some much deserved recognition.

Sensory Gardens

A small little garden hidden away at the end of the town, lovely to bring small kids to play,to bring a small picnic and enjoy it.

Christmas Lights

We help our local traders who in the past have greatly supported the Christmas Lights Appeal in Cahir every year.

CahirBears Childcare

Cahir Bears Childcare Centre is a community childcare and pre-school facility based in Cahir Co. Tipperary.

Community Lotto

We ask that you consider supporting our fundraising efforts by playing our weekly lotto.

Duneske Leisure

Joint effort between the Cahir DA, Cahir GAA Club and the Parents Council of Colaiste Dun Iascaigh.

Cahir Tourism

Creative workshops, mysterious caves and majestic castles, journey to Cahir in County Tipperary.

Cahir Playground

Cahir Playground underwent a transformation in 2020. It is an innovative, modern, world-class, inclusive, fun playground for the children of Cahir.
